Training Sessions;
Monday Night 7PM sharp at Xishan Shui Ku Football Park
Thursday night 5.30 DAIS (Dalian American International School)
Coming soon we will have 5/7 aside matches at weekends as we get closer to the tournaments
Training Session Format:
Main objective is the everyone has fun while getting fit and learns new skills J
Key goals are ball retention, accurate kicking and hand passing, ball carrying, catching shooting, endurance, speed, agility.
Warm up: Active warmup/stretching – 15-20 minutes
Kicking drills
Hand passing drills
Solo/ball carrying skilling
Running: Jog/halfpace/3/4- sprint – ease down – repeat
Sprints: always in the first half of sessions (must be fully warmed up) not when everyone gets tired at the end of sessions (otherwise muscle tear more likely)
***No sprinting to a point and turning and sprinting in the opposite direction
Core work
Different drills to focus on areas such as pint/goal scoring – support play, tackling, fielding, cross field passes
Defenders V attackers
Always finish with a game J Even if it’s only for 5 minutes, as we get close to tournaments allot of our time will focus on games/matches in training, with ref enforcing rules, 9 aside and replicating match durations.
